Privacy and advertising

Your member information

Your account and profile information supports membership, matching and messaging. Member directories, profiles, photos and messaging require sign-in. Uploaded photos are reviewed before being displayed to other members; rejected images are deleted. Your profile visibility can be changed in your account settings.

Google Ads measurement

Google Ads measures visits and completed family and au pair profiles to evaluate and optimise our advertising. Google may receive page URLs, click identifiers, cookie identifiers, device and network information, and a random completion identifier. We do not send your name, email, photos or profile text. You can accept or reject advertising tracking and change your choice in Cookie settings.

The recipient is Google. Measurement helps us understand which ads lead to completed family and au pair profiles and optimise advertising towards those results. Ordinary advertising tracking may use cookies. We do not enable customer matching, enhanced conversions or personalised advertising with member details.

A completion is counted once per account when its profile is visible, has two non-rejected photos, a name, town or city, country, introduction, expectations and at least one language. Family profiles also need a start date and duration; au pair profiles need childcare experience and availability. Pending photos count towards completion but are not displayed to other members until approved. A random completion identifier, rather than a member name or email, is sent to Google. Repeat edits do not count again, and blocked completions are not replayed after later acceptance.

How Google handles advertising data

Your choices

We request advertising consent in the EEA, UK, Switzerland and Canada. Because our location check cannot distinguish Quebec, we use this rule for all Canadian visitors. If we cannot establish your region, we also ask before tracking. Elsewhere ordinary tracking is enabled unless you refuse. Accept and Reject are equally available; you can withdraw or change your choice at any time.

Your browser keeps a random visitor identifier, the notice version, your decision and its time, preserving earlier acceptance when you withdraw. At profile completion we retain that evidence and region with the outcome so a previously blocked completion is not replayed after a later acceptance. Changes apply to subsequent reporting and other open tabs; they cannot recall data already sent to Google.
